1964 Dodge W500 Power Wagon

(I no longer own it, I have sold this truck)

Maxim 750 GPM Fire Truck with Hale 2QLD75 two stage pump
18,788.8 miles - Ser # 2581318168
157" WB on 8.25 x 20 Tires
260" Overall Length
361 cu.in. Big Block (B engine, low block)
4.12 bore x 3.38 stroke, 5.9L
6.8 Gears
NP540 5-Speed Transmission
2 Speed Transfercase

The buyer asked that I remove as much of the Fire Apparatus as I could so that he could ship it.  So I did and he was able to use his own truck and trailer.  I don't have any updates on how his plans to swap in a diesel and roll back.

Could the Truck have looked something like this originally?

My Dash Knob Placement as Purchased

Well today, I tried vacuum bleeding the brakes, but that just never seems to work right, so I'll have to get a helper and do it the old fashion way.  I also removed the front skirt that Maxium installed, and, wow, looks much better with out it (it was 1/8" steel!).  I also started the Swiss tank removal.  I removed the top and baffles.  Will likely have to lift the rest of the tank out, so as to not damage the body or frame (after I shovel out the rust that is).  08/14/2009

Performed an ignition tune-up  12/12/2010

Contact Set (Points) - Echlin Ignition, CS851P
Distributor Condenser - Mileage Plus Electrical, AL868SB
Distributor Rotor - Echlin Ignition, MO13
Distributor Cap - Echlin Ignition, MO20
Spark Plug Wire Set - Accel, 4041
Spark Plug - Autolite Spark Plugs, 66

Straightened the Oil Pan, and repaired the Clutch Cover.  Yes I know the color is wrong, I like Hemi Orange more than Chrysler Red.  Truck is now topped off with fresh oil and filter.  12/20/2010
Started the going through the wiring in preparation to fix and clean up the rats nest.  Using Mopar Norms Wiring Diagrams to help.  I've gone over the three dash connectors, and figured out what the wires were in the Accessory Connector.  Now to start replacing and cleaning up the mess.  09/09/2011
